My Life is Better with Indiepop
In my room, I take my records ...indiepop
playing, all day long I would never stop
From C86 to Sarah Records
I dance and sing along
The jangly guitars the twee aesthetics
In my mind my feet leave to the ground
My life is better with indiepop
With every strum, with every simple chords
I feel like I belong.
The jangly guitars the twee aesthetics
In my mind my feet leave to the ground
My life is better with indiepop
With every strum, with every simple chords
I feel like I belong.
I don’t want to be part of your scene
Where the popularity is everything
My life is better with indiepop
With every strum, with every simple chords
I feel like I belong.
Shala la la la la You’re a Complete Rip - Off
In this capital city where the vinyl spins,
There's a record shop with its secret sins,
They sell records , but they don't report a dime,
Oh, the way they cheat is such a crime.
In the shadows you hide, with your ill-gotten gain,
You rip off record shop, it's time for some pain.
With each stolen note, your greed takes its toll,
The label struggles, paying the heavy toll,
Their melodies stolen, their dreams left behind,
the way you deceive, it's a heartless bind.
Shala la la la la You’re such a Complete Rip - Off
Shala la la la la where do you keep all that cash?
In the shadows you hide, with your ill-gotten gain,
You rip off record shop, it's time for some pain.
Shala la la la la You’re such a Complete Rip - Off
Shala la la la la where do you keep all that cash?

You might be wondering, "What's going on with this label? Why are we still releasing CDR when other labels are going for vinyl and cassettes?" Our packaging might seem simple compared to others, but here's the thing – I don't care about what others think. I genuinely enjoy every moment I spend working on this CDR release. I started from scratch, buying blank CDRs and burning them with my LG writer – it's a pretty traditional approach, right?
Let me tell you, it's perfectly fine to release music in a traditional way. There's no shame in it. What matters is that you put your best effort into it, do it with passion, and, most importantly, have fun with it.
Our debut release showcases Anselmus, a one-man band from Tangerang, Indonesia, who's the driving force behind this project.
He's a straightforward guy, as reflected in his lyrics. When you listen to Anselmus' songs, he definitely shows you how twee should be, rather than being a fan of an imposter twee band who recklessly post about twee on social media or bring a twee flag to their gig but don't even understand the essence of what twee is. In fact, they just want to be a pop star.
Anselmus chose to release his first two songs on this CDR single. So, when you consider buying this release, don't focus on the number of songs on the CD. Having fewer songs doesn't make it any less valuable – that's just a misconception!
Instead, think this way: if you love the band and their music, support them by collecting each of their releases. And a special note to those who hoard copies only to resell them at four times the original price later – well, my middle finger has something to say to you!
Until then, thank you for supporting chaotic CDR.
With love,
Chaotic Pop
